The Valley, known as the Coachella Valley is approximately 45 miles long and 15 miles wide. It's surrounded by mountains to the north, south and west. It consists of nine cities: Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Desert Hot Springs & Coachella. The population is just under 300,000 - increasing 6% a year, with an estimate of doubling to 600,000 by the year 2020.

Home prices in the Valley are among the lowest in California, making this an attractive and affordable housing market for people looking for retirement homes, vacation homes, weekend homes, relocation and just good plain living! It's great for families. There are 6 high schools, 24 elementary and 8 middle schools surrounding the area, and there are many more schools being built within the next few years to accommodate the families moving into the area.
